Collaborations with jill sigman/thinkdance

One project I worked on with jill sigman/thinkdance was Renewable. This is a series of video dances metabolically reflecting on the future of Rikers Island after the jail is closed. I created a short video that Jill and Milan edited with music by Kirsten Nordeval and simultaneous dancing by Irene Hsi. We launched the website at an event in February 2023 and performed a live improvisation after a conversation about the Renewable Rikers project, incarceration, and abolition.

I also participate in public live improvisations called Motion Practice, with Jill's group on a semi regular basis. These often occur in Riverside Park, on Open Streets in the Eco Art Fest, and Park to Park on Earth Day.
